CISF Tradesman Physical Exam Date 2026 — PET/PST Status, Admit Card & Standards

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Constable (Tradesman) pipeline uses a physical-first filter — Height Bar / PET / PST — before written and medical stages for most cycles. This page tracks the physical exam date / e-admit card story for CT/TM aspirants.

Current focus (9 September 2026):

  • For the CT/TM-2024 cycle, official CISF notices already placed PET/PST from 26 September 2025 and Trade Test & Documentation from 11 December 2025 (e-admit cards on cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in).
  • A new 2026 Tradesman advertisement with fresh PET dates is not treated as locked on the recruitment portal as of this update — keep checking the official notice board.
  • Do not confuse this with CISF ASI Paramedical PST/Documentation (admit cards released early September 2026; PST from 14 September 2026) — that is a different post family.

Who this guide is for

Use this page if you:

  • Applied under CISF Constable / Tradesman (CT/TM) and need PET/PST / Trade Test status
  • Need a clear map of physical standards, admit-card steps and stage order
  • Must avoid mixing Tradesman with Paramedical / AC LDCE / GD drives

Do not use this page to:

  • Treat “August 2026 expected” as a CISF order (that estimate is obsolete)
  • Download hall tickets from unofficial mirrors
  • Assume Paramedical PST dates apply to Tradesman

Easy Applications is an independent desk — not CISF.

Why PET/PST Comes Early for CISF Tradesman

Unlike many SSC exams that put a written paper first, CISF Constable Tradesman recruitment traditionally filters candidates physically (and by trade skill) before / around documentation, then moves to the written exam and medicals. Failing Height Bar, PET or PST usually ends the candidature for that cycle.

Posts / Trades Usually Covered

Trade examples (past cycles)
Cook, Barber / Hair Dresser, Tailor, Washerman
Safai Karmachari / Sweeper, Water Carrier
Painter, Carpenter, Electrician, Mali / Gardener
Welder, Cobbler, Mason, Plumber
Charge Mechanic, Motor Pump Attendant, Bugler / Band-related trades

The exact trade list and vacancy count appear only in the official advertisement for that year.

Selection Process — Stage by Stage

Order Stage Nature
1 Height Bar Test (HBT) Qualifying screen
2 PET — race as per trade group Qualifying
2 PST — height, chest (male), measurements Qualifying
2 Documentation / Trade Test Papers + trade skill
3 Written Examination As per notice
4 Detailed Medical Examination (DME/RME) Medical fitness
5 Final merit / offer Subject to vacancies

Some boards combine PET and PST on the same reporting day. Your e-admit card shows venue, reporting time, and instructions.

Physical Standard Test (PST) — Orientation (Confirm in PDF)

Recent CT/TM notices commonly used figures in this range (category / hill / North-East relaxations apply as written):

Parameter Male (typical recent CT/TM) Female (typical recent CT/TM)
Height About 165 cm About 155 cm
Chest About 78–83 cm (unexpanded–expanded) Not applicable
Weight Proportionate to height/age (final call often at medical) Same principle

If a different figure appears in your notification PDF, follow the PDF.

PST tips

  • Get measured in the morning; avoid thick socks/shoes when practicing height checks.
  • If declared not qualified in height, many boards allow same-day appeal for re-measurement — listen to the board officer.
  • Carry original age / category certificates if you claim relaxation.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Race Standards (Previous Pattern)

CISF sets different race norms by trade group. Illustrative past-cycle structure (verify again in your PDF):

Trade group (illustrative) Male PET Female PET
Driver / mechanic / gardener / painter / carpenter / band / cobbler / tailor / bugler type trades 5 km in 24 minutes (where notified) or trade-specific 1.6 km timing 1.6 km in the time printed for women
Cook / water carrier / barber / washerman / safai karmachari type trades Often 1.6 km in ~10 minutes Often 1.6 km in ~12 minutes
Mason / plumber / electrician type trades Trade-specific 1.6 km timing As notified (some trades male-only in past cycles)

Train to clear the bar with a time buffer.

PET preparation checklist

  • Build weekly long-run endurance well before any expected call.
  • Practice on ground similar to force tracks (not only treadmill).
  • Hydrate and rest the day before; report in proper sports shoes and attire as listed on the admit card.
  • Medical issues (asthma, injury) — get checked early; PET is not usually re-run for soft excuses.

What Happens After You Clear PET/PST (CT/TM Pattern)

  1. CISF publishes PET/PST qualified list on the recruitment site.
  2. Shortlisted candidates appear for Trade Test / Documentation as scheduled.
  3. Written examination as per the cycle notice.
  4. Detailed Medical Examination; review medical if provided under rules.
  5. Final merit / appointment subject to vacancies and medical fitness.

Mistakes to avoid now

  1. Planning travel on an obsolete “August 2026 expected” rumour
  2. Mixing Tradesman dates with ASI Paramedical PST (14 Sep 2026)
  3. Waiting for a postal hall ticket (there is none)
  4. Ignoring trade-specific PET timings
  5. Arriving late — physical grounds often seal gates early
  6. Paying agents who claim “inside PET dates” or “guaranteed qualify”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CISF Tradesman Physical Exam Date 2026?

For the Constable/Tradesmen (CT/TM) 2024 cycle, CISF conducted PET/PST from 26 September 2025 and later called shortlisted candidates for Trade Test / Documentation from 11 December 2025. As of 9 September 2026, a fresh 2026 Tradesman notification with new PET dates is not treated as locked on the official recruitment site — watch https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in/.

Is the old “August 2026 expected” PET date still valid?

No. That was only an unverified tracker estimate from mid-2026. Do not travel or plan around August 2026 unless a matching notice appears on cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in.

Where will the CISF Tradesman PET/PST admit card be released?

E-admit cards for CISF physical / trade stages are issued only on https://cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in/. Hall tickets are not sent by post.

What is the selection process for CISF Constable Tradesman?

As summarised on the CISF recruitment page for Constable/Tradesmen: Height Bar Test, then PET/PST/Documentation/Trade Test, then Written Examination, Medical Examination (DME/RME), final merit list and offer of appointment. Confirm the exact order in the live notification for your cycle.

Is PET/PST qualifying or merit-based?

PET and PST are generally qualifying stages. Candidates who fail physical standards or the race are eliminated and do not move to the next recruitment stage.

What are the PST height and chest requirements?

Confirm only in the notification for your cycle. Recent CT/TM notices commonly used about 165 cm height for males and 155 cm for females, with male chest around 78–83 cm (category / area relaxations apply). Older summaries sometimes quote different figures — the PDF on the CISF recruitment site wins.

What is the PET race for CISF Tradesman?

Race distance and time depend on the trade group in the official notice (for example, 1.6 km timings differ for cook/barber-type trades vs other trade groups in past cycles). Confirm exact norms in the notification linked from cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in.

How do I download the CISF Tradesman physical admit card?

Open cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in, log in with registration number and password, open the PET/PST or Trade Test e-admit card link when activated, verify photo and venue details, then download and print the PDF on A4 paper.

Is CISF ASI Paramedical PST (from 14 Sep 2026) the same as Tradesman PET?

No. Paramedical Staff (ASI Pharmacist / Lab Technician / X-Ray) is a different 2026 recruitment. Constable (Tradesman) is a separate CT/TM drive. Do not use a Paramedical admit card for Tradesman grounds.

What is the pay scale for CISF Constable Tradesman?

As per previous recruitment cycles, the post is generally in Level-3 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, about ₹21,700–₹69,100, plus allowances as per Central Government rules. Confirm in the current notification.

Which trades are covered under CISF Tradesman recruitment?

Past cycles have included trades such as Cook, Barber, Tailor, Washerman, Sweeper, Painter, Carpenter, Electrician, Mali, Welder, Cobbler, Charge Mechanic, and Motor Pump Attendant. The vacancy list in the official advertisement specifies exact trades.
