Download CKYC card online when you need your Central KYC card or the CKYC number printed on it—for a new bank account, mutual fund folio, insurance proposal, or demat KYC. CERSAI’s Operating Guidelines describe official customer methods to fetch the card without paying middlemen.

Why Fetching the CKYC Card Matters
The card is the customer-facing proof that a CKYCRR record exists and that you can read your KYC identifier yourself. Apps and branch staff often ask for that number during reuse of central KYC; having the PDF or SMS link ready prevents stalled onboarding when you are already verified elsewhere in the financial system.
Fetching the card is also a diagnostic. Success confirms both that a record exists and that your registered mobile still works for OTP/SMS. Failure points you toward updating KYC mobile through the bank or AMC that holds your relationship—before you blame “the portal” alone.
Unlike plastic identity cards, the CKYC card is retrieved digitally on demand. That makes it practical to keep a private copy for form-filling while avoiding the habit of emailing the full file to every casual enquiry. Soft note: official channels are the free path; agent fees for “instant CKYC card” are a red flag.
Understanding what CKYC is helps you explain to family members why a mutual-fund app suddenly wants a 14-digit value they have never memorised—the card is how you recover it safely.
Treat the download like any other financial document retrieval: use a private network, avoid public cyber-café sessions when possible, and delete SMS links from shared family phones after you save the PDF. Soft note: the card can expose address and identity fields that do not belong in a group chat.
If you manage KYC for elderly parents, complete the fetch on the mobile number that was actually seeded during their bank KYC—not your own phone—unless that number was formally updated through the reporting entity. Mixing SIMs is the most common reason “official” missed calls appear to do nothing.

Before You Start
- Mobile that was used or later updated during bank / institution KYC (the one on the CKYC record)
- Ability to receive SMS
- Optional: DigiLocker account for Option 3
- Habit: never share OTP with anyone claiming “CKYC support”
Option 1 — Missed Call
As described in CERSAI Operating Guidelines customer retrieval sections:
- From your CKYC-registered mobile, give a missed call to 7799022129.
- Wait for the automated response / instructions the service sends for card retrieval.
- If this path cannot fetch the card, use Option 2 or 3.
Soft note: save the number only from official guidelines or your bank’s CKYC communication—discard WhatsApp forwards that show different digits.
Option 2 — getkyccard on ckycindia.in (OTP / SMS)
- Open https://www.ckycindia.in/kyc/getkyccard (or reach the same service from the CKYC home if the path moves).
- Enter / verify the mobile number registered with CKYC.
- Complete OTP verification as shown.
- Submit the request to fetch your CKYC card.
- Watch SMS for a download link on that mobile.

Fetch CKYC Card — ckycindia.in CKYC HomeIf OTP or SMS fails
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Wrong mobile | Use the seeded KYC number; update via bank/AMC if changed |
| No SMS | Wait, check spam/blocked SMS, retry later |
| Not in CKYC yet | Complete KYC with a regulated entity so a record exists |
| Still stuck | Helpdesk email/phones published on ckycindia.in |
Option 3 — DigiLocker
Operating Guidelines list DigiLocker as a customer method.
- Open digilocker.gov.in or the official DigiLocker app.
- Log in with mobile / Aadhaar as DigiLocker requires.
- Search CKYC / issued documents from CERSAI / Central KYC (soft note: partner labels vary).
- Pull the CKYC card into DigiLocker and download or share only when a regulated entity needs it.

After You Get the Card
- Note the 14-digit CKYC number (KYC identifier) securely—see Know Your CKYC Number.
- Share it only with regulated entities during account opening or KYC reuse.
- If name, address, or mobile changed, request a KYC update through your bank / mutual fund / insurer so CKYCRR receives the refresh.
- Keep a private PDF; avoid posting the full card on social media.
Common Problems and Pitfalls
| Problem | Response |
|---|---|
| Deep link 404 | Start at ckycindia.in; soft note: paths move |
| Missed call silent | Confirm correct SIM; try web OTP or DigiLocker |
| SMS link expired | Request fetch again; open promptly on first device |
| Phishing clone site | Domain must be ckycindia.in (or DigiLocker.gov.in for Option 3) |
| Paid “download agent” | Refuse—official fetch is the citizen channel |
| Old address on card | Update KYC via reporting entity; re-fetch later |
| No record found | Finish KYC upload with a bank/MF/insurer first |
Document / prep pitfalls: carrying unrelated Aadhaar alone does not replace a missing CKYC record; the registry entry must exist. Likewise, a new phone number without institutional update will not magically receive OTP.
Helpdesk references often published: helpdesk@ckycindia.in, 022-61102592, 022-50623300 (confirm timings on the official site).
After a successful fetch, cross-check the name and address on the card against what you will submit to the new institution. If the card is outdated, push a KYC modification through your existing bank or AMC first; downloading the same stale card repeatedly will not fix wrong demographics. Soft note: Operating Guidelines and live portal text remain authoritative when blog menus and SMS wording differ.
Keep one private archive copy and one working copy for uploads. When an onboarding form only needs the identifier, prefer typing the CKYC number instead of attaching the entire card PDF.
