AP MBBS BDS CQ Counselling 2026 — Dr NTRUHS NEET UG registration open

Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr NTRUHS), Vijayawada is conducting Andhra Pradesh MBBS & BDS Competent Authority Quota (CQ) admissions for Academic Year 2026-27 on the basis of NEET UG 2026. Online registration for the single CQ application closed after 12 August 2026 (late-fee window till 14 August). Candidates who applied should now track certificate scrutiny, provisional/final merit, web options and seat allotment only on the university portals.

Status (as of 28 Aug 2026): Registration closed · Watch merit / web options / allotment · Portal: APUHS MBBS home · University: drntr.uhsap.in

This is admission counselling (NEET UG–based state Competent Authority Quota) — not a government job vacancy. For live status and structured exam facts, also open AP MBBS & BDS CQ 2026.

Counselling overview

Competent Authority Quota (also called Convenor quota in common usage) covers state-process seats after NEET UG, including soft note from the detail notification:

  • Government Medical and Dental College seats in Andhra Pradesh affiliated to Dr NTRUHS (after the share contributed to All India Quota)
  • General-category seats in permitted Government Medical Colleges from 2023-24 onwards (as per the G.Os cited in the bulletin)
  • Category A seats (typically 50% of intake) in private un-aided non-minority and minority medical/dental colleges affiliated to Dr NTRUHS
  • 126 MBBS seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (under SVIMS), Tirupati, under CQ as notified

State merit is prepared from NEET UG 2026 score and rank after scrutiny of uploaded certificates. There is no separate AP written medical entrance for these CQ seats. MCC All India Quota counselling remains a separate national process; APSCHE CAP / OAMDC portals are for other degree admissions, not this MBBS/BDS CQ track.

Who can participate

Soft note — candidates who generally needed all of the following to register, and who remain eligible for later rounds:

  1. NEET UG 2026 qualification with the category-wise minimum percentile / cut-off score published in the Dr NTRUHS detail notification (e.g. soft note: General OC/EWS 50th percentile band; SC/ST/BC 40th; OC-PwBD 45th — confirm exact score bands on the official PDF).
  2. Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, with science marks typically OC 50% / BC-SC-ST 40% / OC-PwBD 45%.
  3. Age: complete 17 years on or before 31 December 2026.
  4. Indian National or eligible PIO/OCI status with AP local or unreserved residence rules under the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and later G.Os (soft note: PIO/OCI registered on or after 04.03.2021 face additional seat-type restrictions as per HM&FW G.Os).
  5. Special categories (PwBD, CAP, NCC, Sports & Games, Anglo-Indian, Bharath Scouts & Guides, PMC) must still meet the base academic and NEET rules, plus category proofs.

Soft note: only candidates who completed online registration within the notified dates stay in the CQ pool for merit and web counselling; the bulletin states no new registrations after the schedule, including mop-up and stray vacancy phases.

Registration and fee (soft notes)

Registration used a single online application at APUHS MBBS Registration (desktop/laptop preferred). Soft flow: enter basic details → note User ID sent to mobile → pay fee online → upload scanned originals → submit. Soft note from the bulletin: fill the form yourself, not through agents; do not post the printout to the university — carry it only at college joining.

Fee (soft note from notification dated 05.08.2026):

Window OC/BC SC/ST
Without late fee ₹3,000 + bank charges ₹2,400 + bank charges
With late fee (fee + late fee) About ₹23,000* About ₹22,400*

*Bank charges extra. Soft note: application and processing fee including late fee once paid is not refunded or adjusted.

Certificate verification

Soft note: scrutiny is largely based on scanned certificates uploaded with the online application. There is typically no separate mass call for physical verification before merit for general candidates. Special-category claimants (PwBD, NCC, CAP, Sports, etc.) should watch extra notices on the university website.

Provisional merit is released after scrutiny; final merit follows after grievances (if any). Soft note: a merit position does not by itself confirm eligibility — educational, local/non-local and category claims are re-checked against originals at the allotted college at joining. Fake or mismatched documents can cancel allotment without notice.

Web options

After final merit, Dr NTRUHS opens phase-wise web options. Soft practice:

  1. Log in on the official APUHS / university counselling link when the phase notice is live.
  2. Rank college and course preferences carefully (government vs private Category A, AU/SVU local area rules, SVIMS Women seats if eligible).
  3. Save and lock options before the phase deadline.
  4. Wait for the allotment order for that phase; if not allotted or if you wish to participate further as allowed, follow subsequent phase instructions.

Soft note: allotment uses NEET rank, reservation, local area (typically 85% local / 15% unreserved) and the order of options you submit. Reconfirm live rules in the Prospectus and each phase notice.

Allotment and reporting

When a phase allotment is published:

  1. Download the provisional allotment order from the official portal.
  2. Report to the allotted college within the dates printed on the order / phase notice.
  3. Carry the online application printout, all original certificates, self-attested copies, and fee payment as per Government / college rules for 2026-27 (soft note: tuition for the year follows Govt. of A.P. decisions and related court matters cited in the bulletin).
  4. Complete joining formalities and keep proof of admission.

Soft note: if originals do not match uploaded data or eligibility fails at college, provisional allotment can be cancelled. Keep watching mop-up / stray notices if seats remain and you stay eligible under the same registration.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Waiting for personal SMS instead of checking drntr.uhsap.in daily during counselling months
  • Uploading OBC instead of AP BC-A–E, or SC certificate without Group I/II/III
  • Missing mandatory study / TC / NEET score card scans
  • Using agents or sharing User ID / OTP
  • Confusing MCC AIQ deadlines with Dr NTRUHS CQ web-option dates
  • Skipping college reporting after allotment or carrying incomplete originals
  • Assuming a provisional merit number guarantees a seat without locking sensible web options
